Compactor
A conveyor/dewaterer/compactor developed for high efficiency, low maintenance
dewatering of screenings in waste water treatment plants and miscellaneous
debris in paper mills, food processing facillities and slaughter
houses. |
THE JDV SPIRALPRESS COMPACTOR/CONVEYOR
effectively transports, compresses and dewaters solids in one operation.
A drainage zone at the feed end of the unit permits drainage of free
water as solids are conveyed through the system. In the compaction
zone the transported material forms a plug that is squeezed against
an adjustable pressure spring-loaded door which simultaneously compress
and dewaters material inside a wedge wire "cage", draining
liquids from the compacted solids by the pressure of
the spring-loaded door is periodically expelled into a bagging system
or container.

THE JDV FINE-SCREEN is a self-cleaning, fine barscreen designed to
remove solids from liquids in waste water treatment plants. The screen
has a very low head loss which makes it ideal for open channel installations.

THE JDV-GRIT CLASSIFER efficiently traps
sedimenting particles and delivers them dewatered to the solids discharge.
Turbulence at the inlet section is minimized by a baffle design that
creates a flow pattern which provides optimum sedimentation of solids
into a shaftless spiral conveyor. The low speed of the conveyor delivers
a product which has essentially no free water. The JDV-Grit Classifier
is designed with no submerged bearings for trouble-free operation.
